NYEMO Cambodia aims at providing vulnerable women with the necessary means to regain their dignity and to participate actively in the development of their country.

The NYEMO Cambodia concept is based on the strategy of linking existing resources to create a sustainable technical, social and economic network on which programmes and beneficiaries can rely. A complementarity between service providers and a generalised feeling of community ownership evolves in a growing cohesion between partners and ensures the synergy necessary for the network to succeed.

From the start, transfer of knowledge and skills is directed towards self-sustainability of the programmes. A dynamic Cambodian team is trained to ensure effective financial and organisational management and women willing to enter a reintegration programme are asked to actively participate in the organisation of facilities and income generating activities.

NYEMO Cambodia, hence, participates in the training and education of local staff, offers its beneficiaries the means to reintegrate in a social and economic safety net and supports the community in rebuilding its capacity to function as a supportive social network.

The NYEMO Cambodia concept is easily transferable. However, collaborators are demanded an intensive involvement and programmes have to be kept small scale in order to remain manageable.
